His interest in health care began early on in his undergraduate degree at UBC Okanagan. Before beginning his pursuit of Optometry, he job shadowed several health care professions where he was strongly drawn to becoming an Optometrist. Davinder obtained his Doctor of Optometry from Salus University in 2015 with distinction of clinical and high academic honors. Davinder has practiced Optometry throughout BC since he graduated and has established his roots in the lower mainland and north west. Davinder brings a well-rounded approach as he is very proficient in ocular disease, surgical co-management, contact lenses, binocular vision and neuro-ophthalmology, and pediatrics. At Salus University, their program includes an extra clinical rotation relative to most Optometry schools in which Davinder spent 3 months in the Neuro-ophthalmology department at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA. This clinical rotation focused heavily on neuro-imaging, lab diagnostics,binocular vision work ups, and handling a variety of sight and life threatening neuro-ophthalmic cases. Davinder had the pleasure of working at a specialty contact lens practice in California that focused primarily on fitting specialty lenses for patients with Keratconus and other corneal disorders. He values the knowledge he gained there and carries it with him to this day as he enjoys maximizing his patient's visual ability. Davinder currently practices in Port Coquitlam, Abbotsford, and Prince Rupert. During his spare time, Davinder enjoys spending his time hiking, staying active and exploring the world with his wife.
