Dr. Brandon Baker
Dr. Baker graduated in 2015 with honours from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. During his clinical internship in Baltimore, Dr. Baker worked closely with retinal specialists, cataract surgeons and oculoplastic surgeons. He was also given the opportunity to attend lectures at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Baker is passionate about eye care and his relationships with his patients. Dr. Baker has a special interest in treating dry eye disease and glaucoma. He currently sits on the board of directors of a medical charity called the Ascenta Foundation and is involved in delivering optometric care to local and international populations. Dr. Baker can be found around town enjoying a coffee with his wife and doggo (Leroy Jenkins) or in the mountains on his snowboard or mountain bike.
Dr. Ashala Mah
Dr. Mah graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry (with Distinction) in 2015. She completed a clinical internship in Tampa Bay, Florida, where she worked with Retinal Specialists and Ophthalmologists, gaining valuable experience with a variety of ocular diseases. In her last year of school, Dr. Mah was awarded the Practice Excellence Award, and given the opportunity to attend an American Academy of Optometry meeting in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Mah is passionate about providing quality eye care. She has volunteered in Romania on a mission trip with the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) group, and in 2017, her and Dr. Baker volunteered as clinical supervisors for the students at the Malawi School of Optometry. The two hope to do more volunteer eye care in the future. Dr. Mah has an interest in Dry Eye management, and loves to provide her patients with a holistic approach to their eye care. When not at the clinic, you can find Dr. Mah running with her dog Leroy, cooking up something interesting in the kitchen, snowboarding at Whistler, or hiking the local mountains. Dr. Mah is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometry and the British Columbia Association of Optometry. Dr. Mah is currently accepting new patients.
