Dr. Maxine Law
Dr. Maxine Law, class valedictorian, received her Doctor of Optometry degree with distinction in 1994 from Pacific University. Her internship at American Lake VA Medical Center has made an indelible impression in her clinical experiences. She enjoys working in the community in which she grew up. She enjoys catching up with her patients when they visit. Dr. Law is also licensed to practice in Washington state, is a member in good standing of the BCDO and CAO. She loves eating Shanghainese dim sum with her family and watching Modern Family with her children. She and her family love being active outdoors. When not having to ferry her children to practice/games, she enjoys golfing with her husband.
Dr. Sharon Lam
Dr. Sharon Lam was born in Hong Kong and was raised in Vancouver. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with an honours Bachelors of Science degree in biochemistry, she obtained a Doctors of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2014. During her training in Optometry school, she did an internship at St. Albans Veterans Affairs Hospital in New York where she received training in ocular disease. During Optometry school, Dr. Lam had the opportunity to participate in a volunteer mission trip to Chiapas, Mexico with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Dr. Lam is fluent in English and Cantonese.
Dr. Tonia To
Dr. Tonia To was born in Hong Kong and was raised in Toronto. She’s fluent in giving exams in English and Cantonese. After receiving a Bachelor's of Science degree with honors in Biomedical Sciences from University of Waterloo, she continued with her studies there and obtained her Doctor of Optometry in 2013. During her training in Optometry school, she did an internship at Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Affair Medical Center in Oklahoma where she received training in ocular disease. Dr. To has had the opportunity to participate in a volunteer mission trip to Ecuador and hopes to participate in more eye care missions in the future. She enjoys watching movies, hiking, skiing and exploring Vancouver’s food scene.
