Dr. Navjit Sodhi

Dr. Navjit Sodhi

Born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia, Dr. Nav Sodhi attended Burnaby North Secondary before completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Simon Fraser University. He then moved to Boston to pursue his optometric education at the New England College of Optometry, where he graduated with both clinical and academic honours and became an active member of the Beta Sigma Kappa international honours society. During his training, Dr. Sodhi completed clinical rotations in Ocular Disease and Primary Care across Minneapolis, Miami, Beverly Hills, and Long Island, working alongside a wide variety of highly respected ophthalmologists and optometrists. Dr. Sodhi is passionate about providing the highest standard of care to every patient he sees. He spent more than ten years practicing in a private clinic in North Vancouver, focusing on primary care optometry with a special interest in dry eye treatment. Over the past five years, he has also worked closely alongside ophthalmologists in Burnaby and Richmond, further developing his passion for ocular disease management (including retinal disease such as macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease), glaucoma management, and cataract monitoring. He is a strong advocate for expanding the scope of optometry and values collaborative co-management with family physicians, specialists, and ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive patient care. Outside the clinic, Dr. Sodhi enjoys staying active through sports, cycling and other outdoor activities. He is an avid traveller who is always planning his next trip and continuously attempts to improve his golf game with admittedly limited success. A passionate sports fan, Dr. Sodhi is always happy to talk about two of his biggest interests — the Vancouver Canucks and the Philadelphia Eagles.
